HaysMed Honors Nurses Graduating from the RN Residency Program
HAYS, Kansas – HaysMed hosted a ceremony and lunch recently honoring the graduating class of the American Nurses Credentialing Center Registered Nurse (RN) Residency Program. The 12 registered nurses took some of their first bows this past Wednesday, January 10th as HaysMed celebrated the progress in their nursing career.
The HaysMed RN Residency graduating class included Martin Kuria, Kaylyn Bustillos, Kilie Braun, Megan Groom, Cheyenne Rhoades, Jennifer St. Clair, Shraddha Patel, Ednah Onsongo, Sheridan Beaumont, Benjamin Anyanechi, Kaitlyn Richmeier-Sproul and Grace Winget.
The journey for this residency class began in February 2023 and included a year-long practice introduction providing the 12 nurses with essential clinical experience, personalized mentorship, and on-the-job training, all aimed at enhancing their skills and experience. Additionally, nurses in the program received training from professionals in several departments, such as Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Obstetrics, Ambulatory Care Unit, Surgical, and others.
HaysMed Residency Coordinator Jennifer Peirano said, “All these nurses have special talents and have grown into fine professionals. They have learned so much, while enjoying the acclimation of nursing from academia and/or international nursing to working at the bedside. Together, they will be very successful and assets to the organization. Congratulations to the February 2023 Cohort, we are indebted to the difference you make every single day.”
HaysMed is dedicated to fostering the skills of nurses and ensuring their readiness to provide exceptional patient care. The organization acknowledges the significance of investing in the professional development of its staff, and the RN Residency Program serves as a testament to that commitment.
